I was looking for something a little bouncier this week. I guess I’ll keep lookin though… This is a song I usually sing to myself when I’m out strolling with my dog. Yes, it does get me weird looks from passers-by, but I don’t care. My dog likes it.
It’s a song by belgian band dEUS, who’s lead singer Tom Barman once said: “We make pop music. [...] And pop music doesn’t cure cancer. At best, it helps heal a failed relationship, or brightens up a boring car ride.”
Some might argue what Mr. Barman considers pop music, even though they have been putting an effort to become more pop with every album. Since my notion of normality has always been a bit skewed anyway, I for one am happy I get a lot of songs to sing to, pop or not. This recording was from a live show in Copenhagen.

Thanks for your time.
This time I go for Instant Street
This life’s a soulless excuse for all abuse and parenthesis.
The flyspecked windows and the stinking lobbies
they’ll remain all the same, all the same.
